Follow Friday: Do You Read Multiple Books At Once?

hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read

Q: Do you read one book at a time or do you switch back and forth between two books or more?

I tend to only read one book at a time. I used to read lots of books at once, but since I started reviewing books on this blog I have stopped doing that. I do put down books and leave them for a later date, though, when I can't get into them.

Wishing you all a great weekend!

  1. I've never been big on reading a lot at once, I think part of it was I never had many books waiting to be read before I started blogging.

    Thanks for stopping by LIO!

  2. I can read more than one book at a time, but I also put a book on 'hold' if I don't like what I'm reading.

  3. Hehe- I usually have at least 3 books on the go at once- a light paperback that I can take with me to work to read at lunch break, a hardback or a book on kindle to read while I'm at home, and an audiobook to listen to while I'm getting ready for work in the mornings, or while I'm busy cooking or washing up in the evening.
But I can't read books that are too similar all at the same time.
I'm good at compartmentalising the different stories. Or I'm a freak!

  5. One is good. I always read two at once, but it's true it's not easy sometimes.

  7. Actually, as a blogger, I now read more books at one time than I use to. Weird, right? Thanks for stopping by.

  8. Hi Amber,
Most of my friends think of me as a book addict. Now that I have a Kindle, it's less the case because I can bring a lot of books with me. But I still have one in my bedroom (something easy going just before going to sleep), one in the restroom and one on my computer. So I'm reading between 3 or 4 books at the same time.
But it can get worse when I don't know which one I gonna start... In this case, I will start 5 or 10 first chapter to see whitch one will grab me...Crazy, don't you think ?

  9. I'm trying to be good and read only one book at a time, but sometimes I find myself wanting to read some paranormal romance or urban fantasy while I'm reading something else. In that case, I just pick up another book and read two books at once..

I used to be horrible with this and read 5 or 6 books at once, and when I realized that I kinda freaked because I wanted to clean out the currently-reading stack. Yeah, not happening xD

Yay for only focusing on one book!
